The field of Motivational Interviewing has grown exponentially in the last ten years, and it’s no wonder. MI is fast becoming one of the most utilized set of strategies for increasing intrinsic motivation and goal directed behavior because it is effective and simple to learn and use.
In this course, we will discuss the philosophy behind Motivational Interviewing, identify the stages of change that guide our intervention, and learn powerful questions that can help students and clients feel empowered to change and reach their goals.

Is there anything more effective than Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy? I often say that I wouldn’t have been able to have the success I have had without Jesus Christ and CBT! Systematically changing thoughts when they cause emotional upheaval and unproductive behaviors is something that every person can be taught to do. You will be pleasantly surprised to know just how easy it is when you learn a few simple strategies.
In this course we will learn practical applications of CBT that you can use right away to help kids, teens and adults challenge their distorted and ineffective thinking, see how thinking, emotions and behaviors are linked, and use simple tools to begin the process of thought replacement and enhancement.
